| My research focuses on peaceful societal transformation in the everyday. In my PhD thesis, I focused on the role of municipalities in local peacebuilding in Lebanon and my current research focuses on local participation in municipal decision-making in Lebanon and Kenya. Through societal transformations, I study issues of state-society interactions, service deliveries, as well as how change occurs across levels and scales, incorporating perspectives on social, environmental and economic sustainability. |
