| The importance and the interest of the urban air environment are increasing as the city population is growing rapidly all over the world. The urban climate is of great importance to the air environment both in regard to air ventilation, energy consumption and climate comfort of man. The present project concentrate on studies of the influence of green areas on the local climate and on the question how urban climate knowledge best is incorporated in the urban climate planning process. The studies are partly supported by the Swedish Council of Building Research and are partly a collaboration with the dept. of Urban Design and Planning at the Chalmers University of Technology. |
