| Joakim Sandberg is a Wallenberg Academy Fellow and leads the Financial Ethics Research Group at University of Gothenburg. He is a pioneer in sustainable finance research, using his expertise from both philosophy and economics to analyze and evaluate a broad range of phenomena – such as ethical investment,
microfinance, fiduciary duty, ESG standardization, and macroprudential regulation. He has run several major research programs on these issues, with funding from Mistra, the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation, Vinnova, and other sources. He has presented his research to the Swedish parliament, the Swedish Ministry of Finance, the European Commission, and the United Nations (UNEP/PRI), as well as to several major banks and investment funds (Nordea, Alecta, AP1-4, AP7). He has also consulted or written reports for the Swedish Central Bank, the Swedish Consumer Agency, and the National Audit Office |
